MCP Connector

ConnectQR for Claude and ChatGPT

Design QR codes in Claude or ChatGPT without an account. With one, save, edit and track them without leaving the conversation.

What it does

Ask for a QR code in plain words

It appears as an interactive card in the conversation. Lists of codes and scan analytics appear as cards too.

No account needed

Design a static QR code

For a website, Wi-Fi network, email, phone number, SMS, location or plain text, or a profile on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Spotify or WeChat.

  • Choose its shapes and colours
  • Check how well it will scan
  • Download it as PNG or SVG
  • Nothing is saved
With a ConnectQR account

Save, edit and track

  • Save static and dynamic QR codes to your account
  • Change where a dynamic QR code points after it has been printed, or pause and resume it
  • Rename, restyle and tag your codes, and find them by name, type, tag or status
  • See scan analytics over time and by country, city, operating system, browser, content type or QR code
  • Review the most recent scans for one code, one content type or the whole account
  • Check your plan and how many dynamic QR codes you have left
Connecting

Connect in four steps

Designing a code works straight away, without signing in.

1

Connect in Claude

Open Settings, then Connectors, find ConnectQR in the directory and choose Connect.

2

Or add it in ChatGPT

Find ConnectQR in the apps directory and add it.

3

Ask for a QR code

Designing one works straight away, without signing in.

4

Sign in when needed

The first time you ask for something that needs your account, such as saving a code or seeing your scans, you are asked to sign in to ConnectQR. Sign-in happens on ConnectQR's own page; Claude and ChatGPT never see your password.

No account yet? Sign up at connectqr.ai. If your account manages more than one company, you are asked which company to use when you save or list codes. Codes you already have are found in whichever company they belong to.

Tools

Eight tools, two that change anything

ConnectQR has eight tools. Only two change anything in your account, and none of them delete anything.

Static QR codes cannot change what they encode once saved. Only dynamic codes can be pointed somewhere new.

Example prompts

Try asking

“Make me a QR code that links to https://www.connectqr.ai with rounded dots in navy blue.”
“Change my Cafe menu QR code so it points to https://www.connectqr.ai instead.”
“How many scans did my QR codes get in the last 30 days, and which countries were they scanned in?”
Permissions and your data

Same access as your dashboard

The connector acts as the person who signed in, with the same access they have in the ConnectQR dashboard.

What it can reach

The QR codes and scan analytics of the companies you can access. A user limited to some companies sees only those.

What it can change

It can save new codes and update existing ones. It cannot delete codes, companies or anything else.

What scan data shows

When each scan happened, and where available its country, city, device type, operating system and browser. It never identifies the person who scanned.

Without signing in

Designing a code sends only what you asked to encode and your style choices, and nothing is stored in a ConnectQR account.

How ConnectQR handles your data is set out in the privacy policy and terms of service.

Limits

What to expect

Plan allowance

Dynamic QR codes count towards your plan's allowance. When it is used up, the connector says so and links to your plan page in the ConnectQR dashboard. Static codes are not limited.

Content types

Wi-Fi and plain-text codes can only be static. Every other content type can be static or dynamic.

Analytics

Analytics cover a set period: the last 7 or 30 days, this month, last month, or dates you give. Breakdowns and recent scans show up to 25 entries.

Not available through the connector

Deleting codes, creating codes in bulk, and adding logos or images. Use the ConnectQR dashboard for these.

Disconnecting

Disconnect any time

In Claude

Open Settings, then Connectors, choose ConnectQR and disconnect it.

In ChatGPT

Open Settings, then Apps, choose ConnectQR and disconnect it.
